This piece was painted during a fall landscape class lead by Larry Francis at The Barn Studio of Art in Millville, NJ. The pond, surrounded by a dense bamboo forest, lies within deep shadow. It was the first time in a long time that I painted for multiple hours without a break. It was a transformative piece for me, where I came to see how far I’ve come.
